Michelle is an experienced English Language Trainer. Prior to joining Prep Zone, Michelle taught in INTI International College, Malaysia. She has been teaching English to foreign learners for over ten years. Her background includes teaching Technical English, Writing Skills, Public Speaking, IELTS, TOEFL, IGCSE, IB and GCSE O/A-Level.

Joel

Mathematics, Economics

Joel is an experienced Mathematics and Economics trainer, who is extremely familiar with the IGCSE and IB syllabus. He has amassed a vast experience teaching private individual tuition to secondary, pre-university and university students, for both Mathematics and Economics. In particular, he takes a special interest in market structures and financial economics. A straight As Dean’s List student in NUS, Joel also attained a perfect score in his IB (45/45).

Karyen

Psychology

Karyen is currently a lecturer, a counselling psychologist and a practitioner of applied neuropsychology. Prior to this, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Dayton, and a Masters of Science in Developmental Disorders and Clinical Practice (Psychology) from the University of York. Karyen is passionate about education and finds teaching a rewarding experience.

Asja

Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science

Asja, a University of Sarajevo student majoring in Electrical Engineering (Automation and Control), chose her field due to her passion for Mathematics and Physics. Her thesis centers on optimization theory and its application in Smart Grids. With over 4 years of tutoring AP, IB, & IGCSE subjects and 2 years aiding university students, she delights in helping students excel in Mathematics, Physics, and programming. Believing dedication leads to success, she has witnessed this truth repeatedly. Beyond studies, Asja co-founded a youth organization providing programming courses, where she actively lectures and tutors.

Chaitanya

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

Chaitanya arrived in Singapore on a scholarship to pursue A-levels and went on to complete his degree at NUS, excelling in his studies. He joined a molecular biology lab, with his work published in scientific journals. Passionate about science and teaching, he became the first full-time science trainer at Prep Zone, creating comprehensive science curricula. Chaitanya loves making science relatable, cherishing moments when students have “aha” moments. He believes that emotions are crucial in learning, with trainers tasked to clarify concepts and boost confidence. Teaching IGCSE and IB Math, Physics, and Chemistry, he’s dedicated to helping students connect with subjects. Armed with a PhD, he equips students to reach their academic goals.

Jonathan

Mathematics

With four years of experience in one-on-one math tutoring, Jonathan guides Grade 9 and 10 students in IGCSE, MYP, CISO, and Integrated Programs. He offers Pre-IB courses and has expanded to IB (SL) content, assisting students from schools like UWC and SJII. Jonathan excels at crafting personalized study plans, getting students ready for exams, including ISEE and 16+ tests. He also coaches for math contests like Kangaroo, UKMT, SASMO, and AMC, fostering competitive excellence.

Murali

Mathematics

Murali is a seasoned educator with a wealth of experience under his belt, having mentored hundreds of students of varying proficiency levels from a diverse range of international schools, such as UWC, SAS, CIS, SJII, ACSI, TTS, SAIS, OFS, over the course of the past eight years. Murali has taught at several reputable educational institutions, including MathVision, and boasts extensive expertise in the domains of IB and IGCSE Mathematics.

ANANYA

Ananya, a seasoned English instructor with a Master’s in English from the University of Calcutta, boasts over 8 years of teaching experience in Singapore. At Prep Zone Academy, she has guided students in IB, IGCSE, and AP English programs, assisting countless individuals in achieving their academic aspirations through personalized instruction and strategic test preparation. Her proficiency in verbal reasoning and writing, along with exceptional communication skills, significantly boosts student learning and engagement.
